The American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE) is a private, nonprofit organization that
strives to strengthen US-Egyptian relations and cultural ties by supporting humanities-based
research, monument conservation, and personnel training initiatives that encompass all
aspects of Egyptian history and culture. Formed in 1948 by a consortium of leading
American universities and cultural institutions to assist American scholars conducting
research in Egypt, ARCE actively supports the preservation of Egypt’s priceless cultural
heritage for future generations.

of Georgia, Mexico and Australia, as well as across the United States.
