benefits your business and Marion, Ohio!
“Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to
build homes, communities and hope”
Who is Habitat for Humanity of Marion County Ohio, Inc.?
Habitat for Humanity of Marion County Ohio, Inc. (HFHMCOI) is a 501(c)3 non-profit
housing ministry that builds simple, decent, affordable homes in Marion County
Founded as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) in 1993
Built 30th home in Marion in 2014.
What does HFHMCOI do?
Build in partnership with a qualified low-income partner family who has invested their
own “sweat equity” in the home
Provide training opportunities for the family in budgeting, soft skills, and home
ownership
Sell and finance the home to the partner family with an interest-free mortgage held by
HFHMCOI
Service the mortgages held by the partner family: the house payments become part of
the rolling “Fund for Humanity” which stays in Marion to help fund new builds
What does HFHMCOI need?
Currently in Marion many more families qualify than we can serve
A 3 bedroom home costs about $70K, a 4 bedroom about $80K to build
In 2015 our first 2-story with a basement will be built for a family of 9!
2,000+ volunteer man-hours per home
Funding, volunteers to expand from 1-2 homes per year to 3-4 homes per year
How does a partnership with HFHMCOI benefit your business?
Promotion
Team building
Tax benefits of donating to a 501(c)3
A safer, more stable community for your business, your employees, and your
customers
Habitat builds are good for the local economy: inputs are purchased in Marion
supporting local suppliers and contractors; each build reinvests at least $60,000 $75,000 into Marion
Schools and county government benefit because the RE taxes on Habitat homes are
always paid
We would like to make an appointment to meet with you to discuss this opportunity!
