NATIONAL FEDERATION OF YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUBS Train the Trainer 2009 Course developments The Train the Trainer (TTT) course for 2009 has undergone exciting developments in response to evaluations made of the course over the past year. Whilst still aiming to facilitate delivery of Club Officer training at County level the TTT course will also help expand participant overall skills in training delivery, planning and evaluation ensuring that participants are not limited to just delivering Club Officer training. This course will be ITOL accredited giving all successful participants an internationally recognised qualification. Who should attend? This course has been designed specifically for those who are going to be involved in the delivery of County level training. Ideally participants will previously have held Club Officer positions and will be looking to progress within their County to develop further County training including Club Officer Training. What will the course involve? The TTT course will be conducted at a level 2 standard (GCSE Level) and will include a full weekend of training; all who apply for this course must be happy that they can work at this level and must be able to attend the full weekend. The course will involve the following components: Prior to the course participants will be asked to complete a small assignment. This assignment will require participant evaluation of their own experiences of training and their future thoughts for County Level training. It is a requirement of the course that this assignment is fully completed before the start of the course. The course will follow ITOL and NFYFC course requirements including the following: o Identifying learning needs o Developing training plans in line with best practice o Analysing tasks and designing training activities to facilitate learning o Training groups of different sizes o How to monitor and evaluate training o How to facilitate learning effectively o Games and icebreakers to use in training o Methods of training delivery o The training needs of Club Officers YFC Centre, 10th Street, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, CV82LG t: 02476 857 200 f: 02476 857 229 e: post@nfyfc.org.uk Paper number: Page number: 1 of 5 NATIONAL FEDERATION OF YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUBS Who is this course accredited with?
