enjoy a winter warmer with
Winter Lectures at Stoneleigh
Abbey.
Learn something new and reconnect with history at Stoneleigh Abbey! On
select Mondays throughout the winter, join us for afternoon talks hosted by
local historians on various subjects. All talks will be accompanied by tea or
coffee and a selection of cakes. Cost is £10 per person. Spaces are limited,
so pre-booking for this event is essential.

11th November at 2:00 PM: Author Lawrence Ince speaks on the Holbech
family, which married into the Leigh family of Stoneleigh Abbey.
25th November at 2:00 PM: Jan Cooper, Chair of the Kenilworth History and
Archaeology Society, walks In the Footsteps of the White Monks, members
of the Cistercian order.
9th December at 2:00 PM: Helen Soane of Kenilworth Castle takes us
through the dressing of Queen Elizabeth I.
13th January at 2:00 PM: David Eaves of Spookhunters takes guests on a
walk through the historic past of Haunted Coventry.
27th January at 2:00 PM: Tom Garner of Kenilworth Castle explains the
relationship between Kenilworth Castle and Henry V.
3rd February at 2:30 PM: Historian and author Sheila Woolf discusses the
marriage arrangements of American heiresses.
24th February at 2:00 PM: John Burton of the George Eliot Society speaks
about the author George Eliot.
3rd March at 2:00 PM: Jan Cooper invites us to relive the power and the
passion of John of Gaunt, who owned Kenilworth Castle nearby.
