Unit 1 Chemistry Vocab FOLDABLE
FIRST, MAKE A LAYERED-LOOK BOOK.
1. Collect 4 sheets of paper and layer them about 1inch apart vertically. Keep the edges even.
2. Fold up the bottom edges of the paper to form 8 equal tabs.
3. Fold the papers and crease well to hold the tabs in place. STAPLE along the fold.
DIRECTIONS: Select any 7 vocab words that we discussed this chapter and label each tab of your
flipbook in ABC order. Then on the underside of the tab write the definition in your own words (add
a picture if it helps you!). Words that you can select from: Chemistry, substance, mass, weight,
model, scientific method, qualitative data, quantitative data, hypothesis, experiment, independent
variable, dependent variable, control, conclusion, theory, law, and pure/applied research.
