Intellectual Entrepreneurship (IE) Citizen Scholars Hosts 4 th Annual Research Contest
The Intellectual Entrepreneurship (IE) Citizen Scholars, IE's student organization, hosted its 4 th
Annual Research Contest for students from all disciplines on campus. The event was held on
Monday, April 20, 2015 as part of the UT-Austin Research Week Events.
The contest provides current and former IE Pre Grad interns and students interested in IE the opportunity to showcase their research, ambitions and aspirations. A total of 19 students were accepted to present their research; all were all eligible to win prizes.
Several of UT's colleges and schools were represented: the College of Liberal Arts, the Moody
College of Communication, the College of Fine Arts, the College of Education, the College of
Natural Sciences, and the Jackson School of Geosciences.

Fifth Place ($75) : Irnela Bajrovic, Biochemistry, "Evaluation of Thin Film Formulations for an
Oral Ebola Vaccine "
Honorable Mentions ($50) : Meagan Aguirre, Marine and Freshwater Biology, "Site of Insulin-
Like Growth Factor Action to Induce Oocyte Maturation in Zebrafish" and Bria Lacour,
Biochemistry "Computational Simulation of the Aggregation of the Dimerized Form of the
Estrogen Receptor"
