ADAM MICKIEWICZ UNIVERSITY Faculty of Biology Institute of Experimental Biology, Department of Botany POST-DOC at the FACULTY OF BIOLOGY The Department of Botany together with the Department of Biotechnology AMU invites applications for a POSTDOC POSITION in a project entitled ‘Programmed cell death as an essential process during plant organ growth and senescence on the example of model species Populus trichocarpa (Torr. & Gray)’. We offer a position in well-equipped research institution with good interdisciplinary base for innovative genome-scale RNA research. TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES • microarray data analysis • qRT-PCR gene expression analysis • prediction and comparative analysis of potential molecular PCD markers • publication of research results We offer a contract for 24 months, full-time position since 01.01.2016. Research position does not include teaching activities. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. PhD in biology/biotechnology or related discipline; knowledge of the tools of molecular biology, plant anatomy and cytology; beneficial skills include experience in conducting microarray analyses; English language skills; ability to work in a team and a strong motivation for research.
