Topic: Importance of Education
Question: You have read a book and a poem focused on how technology
has negatively impacted education as a priority.
These are:
The Wretched Stone by Chris Van Allsburg
“Better than the Movie” by Amy Weaver
Consider how each author approaches the topic and write an essay in
which you analyze how the theme of technology’s negative influence is
portrayed.
You do not need to compare and contrast the two texts. You may consider
each one separately. Be sure to include evidence from each passage to
support your analysis and understanding.

complete your prose-constructed response. A detailed rubric has also been
provided for your reference.
