Elementary School, located in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.
As the second largest fundraiser for PS11, the past two years’ sold out Comedy
For a Cause auction and benefit raised $200,000 to help offset a profound loss
of school funding. Great performances included Gilbert Gottfried, Artie Lange,
Dave Attell, Jim Norton , Tom Cotter, Michael Che, Rachel Feinstein, Susie
Essman, Judy Gold, and surprise guest JERRY SEINFELD!!!!
This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 with Jim Gaffigan,
Colin Quinn & Gilbert Gottfried already confirmed to perform and more to
come. In addition to our CFAC auction, we will be introducing a separate
“Comedy For A Cause CAMP Online Auction” which will run January 27 –
February 17, 2015. Please promote your CAMP while helping us raise over
$100,000 for this incredibly worthy cause.
This year, the curriculum at PS 11 continues to be threatened. What does the
school stand to lose? Art, Enrichment, Science, Music, Chess, Substitute
Teachers, Dance, Computers, After School Scholarships, Staff Development, the
Library. And this is the short list! The PS 11 PTA has made it their mission to
make up for this shortfall and more with crowd-pleasing fundraisers like
Comedy for a Cause.
