Job Title: Division Chief, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Description:
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of New Mexico
Health Sciences Center is seeking a suitable candidate to serve as Division Chief for
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Associate Professor or Professor rank. This
position will report directly to the Chair of the department. The successful candidate will
be board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry with leadership experience in
clinical service, research, teaching and administration. This position will lead the
department’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division and oversee multiple programs
within the Division, as well as provide strategic planning and development for both
ongoing and new programs. The position offers many opportunities for leadership in
research, and research experience and productivity are desirable. Educational
activities include supervision of medical students, residents, fellows and trainees in
multiple disciplines. Albuquerque, New Mexico’s largest city, is a vibrant multicultural
community located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley with stunning natural beauty.
