If you are experiencing any of the above, we are working with partner organisations to offer a number of
free courses aimed at helping individuals aged 19 or over improve their wellbeing, try something new
and gain confidence in a relaxed setting.
Drawing and painting
Enhance your creative skills and improve your wellbeing using different techniques and media
Tai Chi
Involves slow, gentle movements, deep breathing and meditation which helps reduce stress
Make your experience count
Reflect on life experiences focussing on the positive events which have occurred and how you can use
this in other situations.
Exploring women’s creativity for wellbeing
A women-only 5 week course delivered by a qualified art therapist. Explore how visual arts can be used
to support and better understand your wellbeing. No previous experience necessary!
Relaxation and Mindfulness
learn techniques that will help you manage your thoughts and feelings

Learn how to surf the Internet and shop online
Basic Maths
Helping you to budget your household income

The project can also give you access to specialist mental health workshops which focus on specific

Crystal Healing
This complementary therapy course will help you recognise the benefits and effects of crystals to aid
meditation and wellbeing.
The use of essential oils (Aromatherapy)
Explore how to use aromatherapy essential oils produced from flowers, plants and herbs to
improve physical and mental wellbeing.
Indian Head Massage Introduction
Indian Head Massage helps relieve stress, anxiety and tension and improves relaxation and
wellbeing.
Relaxation Techniques
Explore relaxation, deep breathing and meditation techniques to use at home to reduce stress and
aid wellbeing.
Henna Body Decoration
Enhance your creative skills by providing henna body art designs. Mehndi is the application of
henna as a temporary form of skin decoration.
Complementary Therapy Taster
Explore a basic introduction to reflexology and aromatherapy, ancient forms of healing. Gain an
insight into basic reflexology massage techniques for the feet and explore aromatherapy using
essential oils. Both therapies aid physical and mental wellbeing.
Reiki Introduction
Reiki is a simple method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that can be used at home. Reiki
heals by channelling energy fields within our bodies and charging them with positive energy. Reiki
reduces stress and anxiety, improves self-esteem and aids relaxation and wellbeing.
