All students at East Garner Magnet Middle School are required to take the following: Language A,
Math, Humanities, Science, Language B, Technology, Health/ PE, and Fine Arts. Advanced Language A and Math class
placement is a result of EOG test scores, recommendations by 5th grade teachers, and EVAAS. The recommendations
are submitted to East Garner separately by the elementary school guidance counselors.
Form Directions:
1. Use this side of the form to pick your core classes: Language B, Technology, and Health/PE.
2. On the backside of the form pick ten total classes from the top half of the form in the arts section and ten total classes
from the bottom half of the form in the subject area course section. (20 courses total on the backside of the form)
