Important Dates
Home Visit – twice a year
Start Date – September 8, 2015
End Date – May 12, 2016
Fall Screening will be held on August 13, 14, 17, and 18, 2015
at the AEC.
Spring Screening will be held at the AEC on February 19,
2016. The make-up date will be February 26, 2016.
Preschool Students attending a Private School
Preschool students who are placed by their parents in a
private school do not qualify for service plans. If a student
meets eligibility criteria for speech services, that student must
be enrolled in the public school by their parent in order to
receive services under an IEP. Services are to be offered
within the school day.
Tuition
1. Students who are dismissed from special education
services during the school year will be considered for
tuition placement if space allows. Tuition payments will
begin on a prorated basis beginning the day after
dismissal from services. Tuition students in attendance
will be switched to another school if space is available
should the current classroom go over cap.
2. Tuition students are not provided transportation by the
district.
3. Tuition costs will be communicated to parents and staff at
the beginning of each school year. ($ 75/week)
4. All tuition must be paid in full throughout the year. All
reconciliations for snow days, etc. will be adjusted as of
April 14, 2016.
