Dear Parents & Families,
Welcome back to the start of our
last term for the year. Term 4 is always a
busy time, and this week was no
exception with our school’s 50 year
celebration held yesterday. It was a great
afternoon with over 230 people in
attendance. Congratulations and thank
you to Ann Shepherdson and Margaret
Hill for all their work and efforts to
organise the event.
This week we also welcome Mr.
Tony Mizzi back after Long Service
Leave. Tony returns after seven weeks of
travel throughout Europe and will have
many stories and photos to share with
the school community.
Day one of our new morning
routine went very smoothly today. In
order to maximise learning time, our
classrooms are now open from 8.45am.
Children are able to unpack their bags
and take drink bottles, reader folders,
books and pencil cases into their rooms
and then return to play in the yard. This
will give the teachers the opportunity to
welcome their students as they arrive
and create a smoother flow of students
entering the classrooms in the morning.
At 8.57am the music will commence and
the children will move directly to their
classrooms.
The time before school is a time
for staff to meet and greet the students,
so if you need to discuss any matters
with the teacher, please contact the
school office to organise a time. We
would like the students to carry in their
bag and unpack their belongings, so
please assist us by promoting this
independence in your child.
School Hats are compulsory in
Term 4 at all times when the students
are outside, and the use of sunscreen is
highly recommended. Hats are available
for purchase from the school office each
day. Students may now also wear their
summer uniform on the warmer days.
