The Medieval Messenger 1290, 30th of September Accidental Burn-Down Yesterday, the villagers lit the Michaelmas bonfires and accidentally caused two cottages to burn to the ground! Cob Smith and Beryl were inside the cottages in the time; luckily both escaped alive and well. Hopefully such an incident will never happen again. Taxes Due! Today was also Tax Day! All villagers shall pay for owned possessions. Many villagers complain about the lord, however, he ignores them as always and laughs as he pulls in the rent. The Medieval Messenger 1290, 19th of October Another Flaming Accident! Another cottage has burned down! Eyewitnesses report that their chicken wandered too close to the cooking fire, setting itself aflame, and then it ran around the cottage, setting everything aflame! The Medieval Messenger 1290, 21st of September A Runaway Bride Catherine, about to be picked up by Lord Lithgow's diplomats disappeared. Catherine was last seen running away through the forest. But it turns out Lord Lithgow's diplomats were here to report that Lord Lithgow had passed away the previous night in a brawl over a tavern maid.
