PRAYER OF CONFESSION
We love entertaining friends and family, but we are uncomfortable with people who are not like us
and feel superior to many who struggle. You call us to love our tormentors and to be hospitable
to strangers. Forgive us for our struggle to serve others as Abraham served the strangers who
came to him. Give us generous hearts and open minds through your Spirit, so that we might
serve others as you have served us. Amen.
