2015 Scholarship Program

Human Resources Professional Association – Toronto Chapter
The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) is Canada’s HR thought leader and the largest
HR association in the country. In Ontario, HRPA regulates the HR profession and issues the Certified
Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, the national standard for excellence in human
resources management. HRPA has more than 19,000 members in 28 chapters and hosts the largest
annual HR conference in Canada.
The HRPA Toronto Chapter is the largest in the association with 6,000 members from the most vibrant,
diverse, and exciting world-class cities in Canada. It is dedicated to promoting the human resources
profession and providing HR practitioners with the widest possible variety of professional development
and networking experiences at all stages of their careers. Its members enjoy opportunities, participate in
programs that enhance learning and professional capabilities while developing business relationships
and industry knowledge.
II.
The Toronto Chapter Scholarship Program
The goal of the HRPA Toronto Chapter Scholarship Program is to recognize academic excellence and the
leadership of individuals working towards launching a career in the human resource field. Recipients will
receive a monetary award of $2,500.00. They also receive a complementary one-year HRPA student
membership and an opportunity to participate in the HRPA Annual Conference.
III.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to apply for the HRPA Toronto Scholarship the student must:

Be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program focusing on Human Resources
Management or a Human Resources related field of study (i.e. Labour Relations, Employee
Relations, Organizational Development, etc.) at the time of their application

Be currently in the 3rd year of their program and be entering the final year of their four year
program in May or September 2015

Have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 or B

Have demonstrated leadership through participation, a commitment to excellence and a drive
to succeed.
