Remediation Assessment Methods: 20% = Exam (9wks and Semester) 60% = Unit Tests, Major Quizzes, Skills, Major Project 20% = Skills Practice, Minor Quizzes, Minor Assigned Work **Students must pass each written examination with a minimum score of 75%. Students must pass their practical skills tests with 100% accuracy. All students meeting the minimum grade requirements will receive State certification as an Emergency Medical Responder. **Students with a score of 84% or better on the AHA BLS for Health Care Providers written test and perform to AHA standards in practical skills will receive BLS for Health Care Providers certification. Students will be remediated until this occurs. **Students with a disability that may require assistance or accommodation or with questions related to any accommodations for testing, note takers, readers, etc. should contact the instructor as soon as possible. **A student may appeal any action regarding the class through acceptable channels, i.e. Instructor/Program Director (Tiffini King), Facility Representative (Bruce Bundy), Sponsoring Agency (St. Tammany Parish School Board), the Bureau of EMS, and the Quality Improvement Monitor.
