For Immediate Release June 1, 2015 ANDERSON EAST’S DEBUT ALBUM DELILAH OUT JULY 10 ON LOW COUNTRY SOUND/ELEKTRA RECORDS FIRST SINGLE “SATISFY ME” ADDED AT OVER 20 AAA STATIONS AHEAD OF OFFICIAL ADD DATE, MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERES AT NPR MUSIC SUMMER/FALL TOUR CONFIRMED, INCLUDING NEW DATES WITH THE LONE BELLOW “These are Sam Cooke-caliber love songs…He is a spectacular talent, and releases like this one are as thrilling as they come.”—Sean Moeller, Daytrotter “His voice is full of gravely soul, easily tackling both piano ballads and foot-stompers, going headto-head with a gospel chorus thanks to a killer range and often heartbreaking lyrics.” —Rolling Stone Country, “20 Reasons to Love This Year” “It’s one of those 10-song records that’s damned near perfect, traveling through the old, smoky bars of older days and down the twisted back roads of love.”—Paste Anderson East’s highly anticipated full-length debut, Delilah, will be released July 10 on Low Country Sound/Elektra Records (the first release on producer Dave Cobb’s new imprint). Already receiving widespread attention, the first single “Satisfy Me” has been added at over 20 AAA stations ahead of its official add date, including L.A.’s KCSN, Philadelphia’s WXPN, Nashville’s WRLT and Kansas City’s KTBG. Additionally, a live video of the single recently premiered at NPR Music and can now be viewed/shared here. Of the song and video, NPR Music’s Ann Powers praises, “…East delivers a collar-grabbing performance that’s both nuanced and passionate…Writing his own version of the resurrected rhythm and blues sound…East champions sweat, sweet emotion and getting a little dirty. It’s a classic approach that feels real, and is bound to bring him success.” The live rendition of the song—which was filmed and recorded at Muscle Shoals’ legendary Fame Studios—is featured on The Muscle Shoals Sessions: Live from Fame—a new five-song EP from Anderson, which is now available exclusively at Spotify. Listen to the full EP here. Anderson is currently in the midst of an extensive tour, including dates with Brandi Carlile and the John Butler Trio as well as newly confirmed fall shows with The Lone Bellow. See below for complete details. Of his recent performance at Triple A Radio’s NON-COMMvention, Dan DeLuca of the Philadelphia Inquirer praises, “Anderson East was an eye opener. I assumed the Alabama singer was a roots-rock-country singer, from bills I’d seen his name on. But he is in fact a wicked soul wailer with a huge voice, a skinny white guy with a raspy, weathered sound coming out his body that defied expectation. Definitely worthy of further investigation.” Of Anderson, producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell), comments, “You don’t hear voices like that everyday. The first time I saw him was at the Bluebird in Nashville—he started to sing and shut the place down. And he had the charm and wit to completely hold the audience in the palm of his hand. When I got the chance to have my imprint LCS, he was the first person I wanted to sign. When he sings you can hear the soil and landscape of great southern soul in his voice and he’s a amazing writer as well.” DELILAH TRACK LIST 1. Only You 2. Satisfy Me 3.
