Duke of Edinburgh/School Groups
We welcome Duke of Edinburgh camping groups here at the farm.
With a dedicated space for D of E groups, and fantastic location within the South Downs National
Park (with the footpath running right through the farm), we are the ideal hosts for your group!
There is plenty of space for any coach/minibus drop offs/collections, and BBQ/breakfast packs are
available to preorder.
Please note, you must book through a registered school or interest group (e.g. Scout/Guide group)
and groups must be accompanied by adult supervisors at all times whilst staying on the campsite.
We offer a competitive, discounted rate for D of E groups as follows:
£5 per student per night
£6 per adult per night
BBQs & fires
 Open fires are only allowed on our designated fire pitches and fires must ONLY be lit in the
fire pit provided. No other campfires allowed.
 Wood is available to buy or pre order from us £6.95 10kg bag of kiln dried wood, plus fire
starter packs for £1.75 per night
 No foraging for any wood allowed. Fallen and dead wood remains the property of Spring
Barn Farm. Anybody lighting a fire unauthorised or foraging for wood will be asked to leave
immediately.
 Please place disposable barbecues on blocks (usually available by the toilets) please do not
allow them to scorch the grass.
Noise
 Please be quiet hours between 10.00pm & 8.00am.
 We want everybody to enjoy their stay. No stereos/radios/musical instruments allowed on
site. Please respect your neighbouring campers & their space, ensure you are not a
nuisance to others on the site
 Ball games may not be suitable at busy periods and not after 9pm please.
 Partygoers, drunks, those of a rowdy disposition – please do not come to us, we are a family
campsite!
Liability
 Spring Barn Farm Campsite is used by all persons at their own risk. Camping at Spring Barn
Farm only entitles you to access the camping field and public footpath that runs across the
property. The barns, fishing lakes and surrounding fields are strictly prohibited. - we are a
working farm & parents should ensure children are properly supervised at all times & not
allowed to stray from the camping field or allowed near any farm machinery. Anyone found
in these prohibited places will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.
 Do not leave valuable items in your tent etc. & check you do not leave valuables in the
toilets. Cars/ bikes parked at owners’ risk.
Cancellation policy: We require payment in full to complete a booking, but are very happy to
refund part of your fees if you are unable to come and stay with us. You must notify us 14 days in
advance of your visit via letter or E-mail to obtain a 50% refund. Within 14 days there is no refund.
We will respond to your E mail/letter. If you do not hear from us you will need to contact us again
to ensure that we have received your notice of cancellation. No refund will be possible without
written notice.
Finally, in the interests of a rewarding stay for everyone, we reserve the right to ask anyone who is
ignoring these terms and conditions to leave.
