FRIENDSHIP PARK
SEASONAL CAMPING RULES
CAMPING FEES
Camping is $20 per day, $95 per week, $250 per month. Seasonal rates are
$975.00 (may be paid in three monthly payments of $325 each month). After Oct 31, camping will be
by day or weekly rates. Fees are due in advance or upon arrival. If fee is not paid the camper will be
deemed abandoned and pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 3733.082, action may be filed with appropriate
municipal court to seize the abandoned property. There is no 24 hr. security in the park. Camping is at
your own risk. Management reserves the right not to accept any RV or camping unit if we feel it is
not within the overall aesthetics of the park. Campsites are to be kept clean and orderly.
SEASON Regular camping season is from April 1 to Oct. 31. After Oct 31, water is not available.
Campers desiring a seasonal rate, but arriving later than April 1, will pay the monthly $250.
SEASONAL SITE IS NOT TO BE A PERMANENT RESIDENCE
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE Arrivals need to be arranged with the park manager so payments can be
made and permits and rules issued. Park phone # 740-733-7941. Departures must be by 1:00 PM. Sites
must be clean of all trash and debris at departure. Leave nothing behind. Failure to clean your site will
result in loss of camping privilege.
CAMPING MAXIMUM Campsites are to accommodate no more than five people, unless approved
by management, with at least one being a responsible adult 18 years or older and be acting as guardian if
the others are minors 17 years or younger.
CHILDREN Children and their behavior are the responsibility of their parent or guardian. Please
advise all children of the rules of the campgrounds and park and make sure they comply. NO children
are to stay overnight unsupervised---see above rule. No children of campers are to join in the picnics or
activities of others enjoying the park unless invited. Children are not to be off the campsite after
11:00pm, unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
QUIET HOURS Quiet hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Campers are to be in their campsites unless
they need to use restrooms or are enjoying night fishing along the lake on the road side of the lake only.
Again, a parent or adult guardian must accompany children.
PERMIT DISPLAY Camping permit must be visibly displayed on the camper or campsite.
PARKING

STORAGE UNITS Any prefabricated storage unit being placed on your camping lot, must be
approved by the Park Board or Management.
CAMPSITE CONDITION Campsites are to be kept clean, free from liter and debris. A make shift
“lean-to” or construction of a shelter is prohibited.
INSURANCE All Campers must provide proof of insurance.
SUB-LEASING Renters do not have the right to assign nor sublet any park rentals.
PETS The state of Ohio has a leash law. Pets are to be on a leash or in a crate. They may not interfere
with others enjoyment of the park. Owners are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pet.
Dogs in training may be off leash in the open space Clean Ohio areas of the park, however owners are
still responsible for their pets.
FIRES Campfires are permitted in fire rings only. All fires must be supervised by a responsible adult.
DO NOT LEAVE FIRE UNATTENDED. You are responsible for any damage your fire causes.

MOTORIZED VEHICLES These rules apply to ATV’s, golf carts, motorcycles, cars, trucks ect.
Vehicles are restricted to paved roads only and must obey speed limits and traffic laws. No loud
vehicles. Operators must be licensed drivers. NO OFF ROAD USE. This will be considered trespass.
TRASH Trash is to be bagged and disposed of in approved park dumpster. Only camp/park generated
trash is permitted. NO OUTSIDE TRASH Do not dispose of grills, tires , chairs, or other junk metal.
Take it home with you.
RV SET UP No cement blocks are to be used to support RV. Use pressure treated blocks or RV jacks.
CHANGES TO CAMPSITE Management must approve any changes to camp site, decks, steps, ect.
PROHIBITIONS Absolutely no illegal drugs in the park. Eviction and arrest will result. You are
responsible for guest behavior. No alcohol . No firearms. No fireworks. No BB guns, paint ball guns,
pellets guns, slingshots, or similar devises. No loud audio devices, noise, profanity or obscenities. No
destruction of property or disorderly conduct. No unnecessary cruising of the park after park closes. No
clothes lines. No tarps.
DUMP STATION Dump station is located at the fairgrounds, next to the shower house.
GRAY WATER Gray water disposal is provided within the campground. Ask when setting up
camper.
PHONE AND EMERGENCIES A pay phone is located on the fair grounds across from the Pavilion.
Call 911 to report emergencies.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND RELEASES Campers and their guests hereby acknowledge that the
campgrounds and park are natural habitats with many obvious and hidden dangers. Despite these
dangers, campsite user and their guests accept these risks. Further, user and guests hereby release
Jefferson County, Friendship Park District and management and employees for any present or future
claims. This includes a claim for negligence, for property damage, personal injury, or death arising from
user or guest’s participation in this camping and park experience.
Registering for a campsite entitles you to the use of the park’s facilities (except
previously reserved Shelters) with the understanding that you, your family, and
guests obey all the rules and regulations established by Friendship Park District.
We reserve the right to remove or have arrested any and all persons violating the
rules and regulations of the Park, Lake, Campsites, and open space. We reserve the
right to change or add rules, ad hoc, that we deem necessary for the safe operation
of the park and overall enjoyment of the park patrons.
FRIENDSHIP PARK RULES
HOURS The Park is open from dawn until dusk. Although the gate remains open, the Park is
CLOSED after dark.
PICNICING Picnics may be enjoyed in the park during open hours. Picnic tables along the lake are
first come basis or by reservation for $10 per day paid in advance. Shelters are $45 per day paid in
advance. Bring your own grill.
USE OF CANOPIES Canopies and gazebos may be used, but must be in good condition. Management
reserves the right to find such structures unfit if they are not within the overall aesthetics of the park.
No tarps or tents.
FIRES Fires along the lake in designated areas only. Again bring your own grill for cooking.
MOTORIZED VEHICLES These rules apply to ATV’s, golf carts, motorcycles, cars, trucks, ect.

HUNTING RULES
Bow hunting only during legal Ohio bow season.
All Ohio hunt regulations are in effect.
NO GUN SEASON
All hunters must see park management for permit and
orientation.
Hunters must abide by all other park rules and camping, if doing
so.

FISHING RULES
Fishing is allowed from dawn until dusk unless you are camping and except for
special events. Campers may night fish in accordance with camping rules.
FISH FOR FUN
With the exception of carp, all fish caught are to be immediately released alive.
Deeply hooked fish are to be released by cutting the leader so as not to damage the
fish. No fish except carp may be on a stringer.
Carp are catch and keep.
No bow fishing. No jug fishing. No trout line.
One rod per fisher.
Boating – a 9.9 hp motor maximum on any boat.
