The War Between the States Presentations
You and a partner will present on a topic or event during the War Between the States. You can
use any Slide Show method. (Google Slides, Prezi etc.)
Battles: Describe the Who, What, When, and effects of the battle. Discuss the maneuvers on
map diagrams and the key Generals in charge.
Flags: What is the current controversy regarding the Confederate Battle Flag?
Lincoln’s Assassination: Describe the entire plot that was designed to kill not only President
Lincoln but also his Vice President and others.
Different names for the war: Present on the different names and nicknames for the War
Between the States and how people’s opinions of the war reflect what they call it.
Medicine and Prisons: Present on the conditions of Prisons for both the Union and Confederate
Prisoners. Present on the “medicine” techniques used during the War and other medical
problems present.
Presentations
a. No more than 2-3 lines of text on your slides.
b. You may have notes on paper or notecards to hold while you present.
c. You must maintain eye contact with the audience when presenting and be ready to
answer further questions regarding your subject matter.
d. Every slide must have a school appropriate image.
