Our aim is to ensure everyone’s safety Assembly Point – Next to the gates leading to the large playground area If you suspect a fire, or in the event of a fire you must alert everyone then you should then call the Fire Brigade by dialling 999. (Information on "How to call the Fire Brigade" is located next to the fire extinguisher). Do not attempt to tackle the fire. There are two Fire Exits, one in the main entrance and one at the rear of the building. All children and adults will be evacuated by the nearest fire exit. Should both fire exits become blocked all windows can be opened wide enough to climb through. One adult will climb through the window; children will be passed to the adult . The Register and Visitors Book and mobile phone must be collected and taken to the Fire Assembly Point. Staff/Adults in the outside area will evacuate children to the gate and escort them into the large playground area Fire Assembly Point. During evacuation one member of staff will search the building to check that all children and adults have been evacuated. In the event that the main doors are blocked, staff and children will exit through the back door and walk across to the Fire Assembly Point. Once at the Fire Assembly Point all names of children and adults will be called from the Register and Visitors Book and marked present. All adults and children will remain at the Fire Assembly Point until the Fire Brigade has declared the building safe. Should the building be declared unsafe to return to, all parents will be contacted to collect their children. Staff will remain at the Fire Assembly Point until all children have been collected.
