It describes the brigade ISR system architecture; ISR support to brigade force projection operations and ISR support to brigade combat operations and other operations in support of joint operations. It presupposes a single brigade task force supported by a division forward element acting as the ARFOR, with an Army corps forming the basis for the JCF headquarters. FM 34-10-6ST is written for all commanders and staff officers, warrant officers, and noncommissioned officers (NCOs) with ISR planning or execution responsibilities within the JCF, ARFOR, maneuver brigade and its subordinate battalions. It will serve as doctrine for a Light brigade in support of a JCF for the Active and Reserve components and the Army National Guard. This manual will also serve as the guide for TRADOC schools and for personnel that develop doctrine; material and force structure; tactical standing operating procedures; and tactics, techniques and procedures.
