In this hands on program, you will have the opportunity to explore new techniques and
projects in paper, fiber, metal, glass and more. Participants leave with artistic possibilities
adaptable to any age level from elementary through high school. The day will be broken into
a morning and afternoon session with each participant completing two different activities
throughout the day. Lunch will be provided. Indicate below your TOP FOUR CHOICES

SESSION DESCRIPTIONS
Glass Beadmaking – You will learn about the properties of glass, tools and equipment, safety, manipulation of glass, annealing and
finishing beads. You will work on a professional glass working torch. Please wear cotton clothes and pull long hair back.
Felted Bangles – Come learn to knit using an easy and fun tool (can be used in your classroom). You will also learn to felt your
knitting to make bangle bracelets. Leave wearing your completed project.
No Fail Collage – Get surprising and wonderful results using a no-fail technique. Learn this method of masking edges and a unique
way of adhearing materials. Each collage is guaranteed to be an exciting success.
Needle Felting – With a specialized needle, we will bond wool fibers into a small sculptural work of art. Make a nesting bird or a
flower to wear as a pin.
Basket Weaving – Make a simple basket. This beginner basket is easily shaped using twining and weaving techniques. You will also
learn a simple border for finishing.
Simple Weaving Ideas – Learn how to make a cardboard loom and weave a simple project. Take this loom with you to re-create in
your classroom. Simple weaving projects can be completed and repeated.
Ceramics – Slip and Slab – Learn how to construct a simple slab project using a technique which incorporates the use of tar paper.
Finish the project with slip resist techniques.
Viking Knit – Create a stunning bracelet using a simple looping technique, wire and a few common tools. Class will cover key
stitches and basic jewelry techniques for attaching findings to your completed bracelet. . **This classroom is not handicap
accessible. Must be able to walk-up flight of stairs.

By this instrument I hereby release the “Fine Line Creative Arts Center.” I recognize and acknowledge that courses offered by the Fine Line can be
a potentially dangerous activity. I understand that courses may include damage to or destruction of personal property and serious physical injury.

I am submitting this release, waiver of liability and assumption of risk declaration voluntarily and of my own free will.

I have had no physical or emotional problems, nor any history thereof, which will impair my ability to participate in this event.

I understand and EXPRESSLY ASSUME all the dangers incident to courses at Fine Line and herby RELEASE ALL CLAIMS, including but not
limited to, personal injury, property damage or destruction and death, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or otherwise, and whether
for bodily injury, property damage or loss or otherwise, which I may ever have against the “Fine Line Creative Arts Center” and their employees,
assistants, volunteers and any other person or entity who is a participant in or promoter of this event as well as any supplier of materials and
equipment employed in connection with my participation in this event.

I agree to assume all financial responsibility for any medical, rescue or other expenses that I may incurred or may be incurred on my behalf and
agree to defend, hold harmless and indemnify the “Fine Line Creative Arts Center,” employees, assistants, volunteers and assigns for any loss or
damage, including attorneys’ fees, that they may suffer should I or anyone else on my behalf pursue an action or claim that is waived or barred by
this release or waiver or any other claim by or on behalf of me arising out of the activity to which this release relates.

This waiver, release and assumption of liability shall be binding upon me, my heirs, executors and administrators.
