Workshop on research and teaching opportunities using collections
at the Great North Museum
Great North Museum: Hancock - Clore Suite, 9 November 2011, 1400-1700
There will be a workshop at the Great North Museum: Hancock in the Clore Suite on
Wednesday 9 November from 14.00-17.00. This is aimed at any staff and students
interested in learning more about the opportunities for using the Great North Museum
collections for teaching and especially research. The afternoon will include a brief
introduction to the range of collections housed within the Great North Museum:
Hancock and associated Resource Centre, followed by a series of 10-minute
presentations on a range of recent and current projects to give an idea of the kinds of
projects that are possible. There will also be opportunities to discuss any ideas you
may have with colleagues from other Schools and with the curatorial team from the
GNM.
