Cambridge AICE Application 20142015 December, 2015 Dear Students and Parents, We are so pleased to be a Cambridge Centre, approved by Cambridge International Examinations on November 22, 2012, to offer an internationally recognized learning option to our students and families. The Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Program and the IGCSE (Pre-AICE) Program are now available at Overton High School. The Cambridge curriculum, taught in over 160 countries worldwide, emphasizes higher-order thinking skills, oral skills, writing skills, problem solving, teamwork, and investigative skills. We welcome your interest in the Cambridge Program. Success in the AICE or Pre-AICE Program depends on commitment to the program requirements, as outlined on the following page. A completed application must be submitted by January 23, 2015, to be considered for admission. This applies only to families zoned to Overton. Please note that the essay must be 500 words and handwritten unless there are special circumstances that require you to use a computer or tablet for your work.
