Eligibility:
Swimmers must be currently registered with USA Swimming. NO ON
DECK REGISTRATION SHALL BE PERMITTED. Swimmers must be
within the listed age brackets as of (the first day of the meet) [and
must meet the time standards listed for each event they enter, if
applicable]. Also any other meet eligibility statements necessary. i.e.
if invitational, only swimmers of invited teams are eligible.
Entry Deadline:
Entries must be received by 9:00pm, February 25, 2013
Entry Limit:
Swimmers may enter a total of 4 individual events plus 2 relays but
may enter up to three individual events per day.
Entry Fees:
$10.75 Swimmer Surcharge ($3 OSI Fee; $7.75 Facility Use Fee)
$ 3.25 Tall Timbers fee per swimmer
$ 2.00 Individual Event Fee
$ 8.00 Relay Entry Fee
$14.00 Per Team League Fee Registration

Entries:
1. Submit YARD TIMES only for seeding.
2. E-mail meet entries using a Hy-tek meet management software
.zip file to the above address.
OR
3. Complete the enclosed master entry forms using yard times for
each event.
Late entries will not be accepted.
Facility:
The competition course has not been certified in accordance with
104.2.2C(4).
Indoor, 25 yards x 7 ½ feet per lane x 6 lanes. Starting blocks at the
deep end of the pool only (10 ft.) Shallow end is 3'6". Parking available
in the Astoria Aquatic Center parking lot and on the streets above and
beside the pool. Please inform your team not to park in the theater
parking lot adjacent to the pool – you will be towed. There is
seating for 150 spectators. Concessions will be open throughout the
meet. Swim venue includes: Men's and Women's locker rooms with
access onto the pool deck; Open pool deck areas available for
swimmers, coaches and officials only. Facility is accessible to adaptive
swimmers. Wading pool is closed to everyone during meet hours.

Rules:
Current USA Swimming and Oregon Swimming Inc., rules will govern this
meet.
Safety:
Current Oregon Swimming Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures
will be in effect and strictly enforced. SEE ENCLOSURE.
Bull Pen:
A bullpen will be provided for all swimmers.
Awards:
Custom medals will be awarded to 1st – 3rd place
Custom double ribbons for 4th – 6th
Custom ribbons for 7th – 12th
Team Scoring: will adhere to USA Swimming 102.25, Team scoring for
meets with consolation and championship finals, 6 lane pools,12 places.
A- (Final): 16-13-12-11-10-9 B (Consolation): 7-5-4-3-2-1. Individual point
values shall be double for relays.
Meeting:
Coaches' meeting will be held 15 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
Officials meeting will be held at 8:15 am (allow 30 minutes for the Officials
meeting)

Officials:
We always appreciate the help of certified officials from other clubs. We
need the support of other officials for this meet, especially a Starter
and at Stroke & Turn. Please provide a list of officials who will be willing
to help out during this meet to the attention of Jo Christie, NCSC Meet
Director, at ncsc_meetdirector@yahoo.com (503) 298-7934. An official's
hospitality room will be provided.
Timers:
Each team will be given timing assignments. Please designate parent
representatives to report to the Head Timer to sign up for shifts during
the meet.
WARM-UP PROCEDURES
1. GENERAL WARM-UP
2. First 30 minutes 11 & over only, second 30 minutes 10 & under.
(a) NO DIVING or BACKSTROKE STARTS allowed from the blocks or edge of the pool.
Swimmers must enter the pool feet first in a cautious manner, with at least one hand in
contact with the pool or gutter.
(b) No sprinting (racing starts) allowed during general warm-ups.
3. SPECIFIC WARM-UPS (last 15 minutes)
(a) Racing Starts – Only designated lanes for racing starts from the blocks or for backstroke
starts at specific times.
(b) General Warm-up lanes – NO DIVING or BACKSTROKE STARTS. Circle swimming only.
ENTRIES
1.
With submission of entries, the coach/team representative
attests that all swimmers entered are registered with USA Swimming.
2. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being
proficient in performing racing starts or must start each race from within the water.
3. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the
swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
