An SSPD officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that had driven from Stallion Springs.
During the investigation for numerous vehicle code violations and erratic driving, the officer
determined that the adult male driver was most likely under the influence of alcohol and
placed him under arrest. The driver was a resident of San Marcos, California.
An SSPD officer received a telephonic call regarding a possible Halloween prank at Banducci
Drive and St. Andrews Drive in Stallion Springs. The officer responded and discovered a
deceased adult male subject who was the victim of an apparent gun-shot wound.
Subsequent investigation revealed the incident to be an apparent suicide. The officer
utilized the Stallion Springs CERT and SCU teams to block off vehicular traffic. CSU and CERT
personnel assisted in aiding the victims family members.
An SSPD officer received a telephonic call regarding a reckless driver. The reporting person
stated that the driver was doing “donuts” behind the police station and endangering
workers in the area. During the investigation, officer placed the adult male driver under
arrest for driving under the influence, D.U.I with .08 or greater B.A.C, and reckless driving.
While on patrol, an SSPD officer observed a traffic collision on Stallion Springs Drive. The
officer assisted both motorists and determined the probable cause of the collision to be
unsafe backing.
SSPD officer received driving under the influence, forced blood draw warrants, case law,
step by step process and requirements training from the Bear Valley Police Department.
The training was free of charge.

SSPD officers and KCSO SWAT deputies trained together in Stallion Springs. The training
focused on dangerous hostage situations. SSPD officers utilized California Peace Officers
Standards and Training DVD’s and internal policy manual hostage call training as well. All
the training was free of charge.
The KCSO Critical Incident Team held a debriefing for members of the SSPD, CSU and CERT
that assisted with the suicide on Banducci Drive. The debriefing was free of charge.
SSPD officers responded to a call of an out of control juvenile in Stallion Springs. Officers
responded and could hear a loud verbal argument occurring inside the residence. Officers
detained the male juvenile and determined that he had vandalized the inside of the home
and pushed his mother. The mother did not wish to prosecute. Officers counseled the
juvenile and provided the mother with various resources.
An SSPD officer responded to a call of a possible shooting on Comanche Point Road. The
officer responded and located a deceased adult male subject who had succumbed to an
apparent bullet wound to his chest. The investigation is being handled by KCSO.
An SSPD officer responded to domestic dispute call in Stallion Springs. The officer detained
both the husband and wife and determined that no crime had been committed. The officer
provided the couple counseling and advice.
While on patrol, and SSPD officer observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Jacks
Hill Road. The officer attempted to overtake the vehicle, but lost the vehicle due to the high
speeds. The officer later located the vehicle with obvious mechanical issues parked at the
Horsethief County Club. A subsequent investigation revealed who the likely driver was. The
investigation is ongoing.
An SSPD officer received a call to keep the peace in Stallion Springs. The officer responded
and during the investigation, found that a domestic battery had occurred in the City of
Tehachapi during the past week. The officer completed an incident report and counseled
the victim.
SSPD officers received a call of a domestic dispute in Stallion Springs. Upon their arrival,
officers observed the adult male and female attempting to flee the area. The subjects were
detained and the male subject was placed under arrest.
A Stallion Springs resident reported that her and her sons bicycles were stolen from
Woodward West property. The investigation revealed that both bikes were left unsecure.
The investigation is ongoing.
An SSPD officer completed a theft of medication report for a Stallion Springs resident. The
incident occurred outside of Stallion Springs.
An SSPD officer completed a trespass report for a Stallion Springs resident. The reported
adult female trespass suspect was gone on arrival.
SSPD officers provided disaster psychology, terrorism and safety training to the Stallion
Springs CERT team.

SSPD provided safety training to Coldwell Banker Real Estate agents in the Tehachapi area.
SSPD provided terrorism training to Bear Valley CERT.
SSPD officers kept the peace and settled a verbal dispute at the SSPD station. The nature of
the argument was over aggressive driving in the area of Alpine Forest.
An SSPD officer responded to a disturbance call in Stallion Springs. The officer advised the
homeowner to turn down their music and they complied.
An SSPD officer warned a Stallion Springs resident regarding the illegal use of an offhighway vehicle in Stallion Springs.
After numerous citizen complaints, SSPD officers issued a warning citation to a Stallion
Springs resident regarding his chickens causing an ongoing nuisance (noise, flies, smells,
feathers). If the issue continues, the subject will be issued a citation for the applicable
violations.
SSPD officers served an adult male subject in Stallion Springs with an Emergency Restraining
Order for a domestic incident he was involved in during a past date.
An SSPD officer kept the peace during a child custody call in Stallion Springs.
SSPD provided methamphetamine awareness training to Tehachapi High School students.
Chief M. Grant updated the SSPD policy manual.
An SSPD officer received a telephonic call of a reckless driver in the area of Banducci Road
and Stallion Springs Drive. The officer located the vehicle and determined the driver was
lost and confused in the fog. The officer assisted the driver by having him follow the patrol
vehicle to his destination in Bear Valley.
