Details
The Royal Veterinary College is offering a postgraduate tuition fee discount to Alumni who are selffinancing their postgraduate study and meet the eligibility criteria below. The value of the discount is
20% for all Alumni.
Eligibility Criteria
You must:
1) Be applying for a degree-awarding postgraduate programme at the RVC – A list of courses
included and excluded from this offering is listed below.
2) Be a graduate of the RVC – You must have qualified on a full undergraduate degree or
postgraduate degree e.g. BVetMed, BSc or MSc.
3) Not be enrolling for an award that represents an Equivalent or Lower Qualification (ELQ) to
one that you already hold.
4) Be entirely self-financing - This means that you are paying all of your tuition fees yourself.
Other Eligibility Criteria:

Only available to students who commence a new programme of Study at the RVC i.e.
Applicants must become newly registered at the RVC in the 2014-15 academic year or later

Awards cannot be made retrospectively and must be awarded during the admission process
or the first year of study.

If the discount scheme changes part way through your degree (e.g. a new percentage
discount is introduced), you will remain on the discount scheme applied at the start of your
degree.

The Alumni Discount is valid only when candidates register for studies during the academic
year specified in their offer letter.

The Alumni Discount will apply for all full years of study (pro rata for part-year programmes).

The Alumni Discount applies only to the net fee that a student would otherwise pay – that is,
after any other scholarships, bursaries or other award from the College have been deducted.

The 20% discount on tuition fees is not transferable. The College does not permit the 20%
fee discount to be used for any other purpose.

It is the duty of the student to advise the College (on the Postgraduate Application Form) if
s/he has applied for or has been obtained funding for his/her tuition fees from another
source. It is the duty of the student to inform the relevant Admissions Office if s/he has
obtained funding for his/her tuition fees from another source after the Postgraduate
Application Form has been submitted to the College. If a student is found to be in breach of
this regulation, the College is entitled to immediately suspend any further discount and may
seek to recover any or all amounts of previous payments made.

The College reserves the right to vary or withdraw the alumni discount at its sole discretion.
The discount applies to the following courses:
 MSc One Health
 MSc Veterinary Epidemiology
 MSc Wild Animal Health
 MSc Wild Animal Biology
The discount does not apply to:
 Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma courses
 Staff candidates
How to apply for this award
PG Taught Courses
Eligibility for this award will be determined based on the information provided on the application
form. The discount will be applied to the applicant’s fees, at the point of enrolment, upon receipt of
their tuition fee payment form. Due to the eligibility requirements of this award, it cannot be
confirmed prior to this point and all applicants will therefore receive an offer letter detailing the full
fee for the course.
