Directions: The following webquest consists of 5 tasks. Each task must be completed before
moving on to the next.

Go to the website listed above and read the article/directions in the left pane titled “How do
seismograph stations help determine an earthquake’s epicenter.” Make sure you read the entire
article to understand the activity. Once you have read the article follow the directions to locate
the epicenter for the earthquake.
