Help [AREA, e.g., “Carroll, Iowa”] Destination Imagination® Compete in a
Worldwide Creativity Competition!
Destination Imagination® (DI) is a non-profit creative problem solving program for
students of all ages. Teams solve Challenges over a period of several months, then
compete by performing their solutions, which are in the form of a presentation with
many different elements, ranging from motorized vehicles to costumes made entirely of
duct tape. All work is done exclusively by the students. Completely far-fetched, creative
solutions are encouraged. Because of this wide range of possibilities, DI appeals to
students with lots of varied interests, who come out of the program with teamwork and
leadership skills, more confidence, and the ability to think on their feet.
[AREA] DI has been active for ___ years now, and we have been very successful
in the past. [PROVIDE DETAILS HERE, e.g., “Teams from [AREA] have gone to the
Iowa State tournament nearly every year since the program began in our town. For the
past three years in a row, at least one team from our district has made it to Global
Finals, where over 1,300 teams from over 40 states and 12-plus countries gather to
showcase their Challenge solutions. The first place team from every Challenge
participating at the elementary, middle, secondary level qualifies to advance to Global

You can help keep DI alive in [AREA]! In order to finance our trip to Knoxville, TN
this May for the Global competition, as well as to provide funding for DI in later years,
we are asking for donations of $50-$1000 to help meet our final goal of $______.
