wisely and don’t ask for foolish reasons.
Absolutely No Food or Drink in the classroom.
The only place gum should be found is unseen in your mouth or in your pocket.
Work should be turned in on time. Late work will be penalized and make up work must be done in accordance to the
school and district make-up policy.
If you have a problem with another student or me, see me in private—after or before class and we will work it out.
Cheating and plagiarism will result in a failing grade and a call to your guardian as well as a disciplinary write up.
Classroom disruptions will not be tolerated.

Students not in the classroom when the bell rings will be marked tardy. Students arriving to first period late must go
to the office for a tardy slip. If a student is seeing another teacher or administrator they must bring a note or have
them call the classroom for them to be excused. It is the student and teacher/administrator’s responsibility to provide
these excuses. Mrs. Peters will not call and will count the student tardy if these situations are not addressed properly.
If you need to get materials from another classroom, your locker or car, Mrs. Peters reserves the option to count you
tardy if you must be sent to retrieve materials during instructional time.
If you use your 1 release and must still go to the restroom or your locker beyond 1 release you will be counted tardy if
you decide to take the release.
The only food or drink allowed in the classroom is water and it must be kept in your backpack on the floor away from
artwork. Any other food or drink brought into the classroom will be disposed of. If one refuses to dispose of the food
or drink it will be a write up offense.
You will be expected to help care for the studio space; that means keeping tables cleaned, putting materials and tools
away in the assigned locations, putting your artwork in assigned location. If you do not clean your area you can be
called back to the art room from your next class to clean your area. Tools left out for the instructor to put away will be
put up for the remainder or the semester.
Actions that constitute classroom disruptions may result in a write-up.
Late work will receive at most half credit if not covered by the attendance policy. Students turning in work late
because of an excused absence should adhere to the school and district make-up policy. Work not turned in according
to those policies will result in a half credit late grade.
No cell phone unless individual permission is given to use the cell phone as an aid in the classroom. Cell phones
should otherwise be put away where they are not even seen. If a cell phone is out without permission it will be
confiscated until the end of the day. Failure to surrender the phone for the duration of the rest of the day will result
in a write up.
Required Materials: These will be determined by the individual student placement, reflection journal.
