A UNIQUE AND EXCITING EVENT FOR WHITEHILL & BORDON Invitation to ‘Showcase’ your Organisation The Town Council in partnership with the Bordon Garrison are organising the Farewell to the Garrison on National Armed Forces Day 2015. As well as the flag raising and the bestowing of the Freedom of the Town to Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) in the morning; from Noon until 5pm, there will be a joint military/civilian ‘Farewell Festival’ on Budds Lane Sports Fields. www.farewelltobordongarrison.org.uk The event will conclude with the Beating the Retreat Activities that are being planned include: Red Arrows (tbc) REME Crescent KTM Motor Cycle Team Military and Civilian Bands Military Displays and Events Team Extreme BMX Display & Coaching Chinook Display (tbc) REME Parachute Display Team Military Gun run Assault course Vehicle recovery display Fun Dog Show Inflatables Theatrical performances Funfair Local Historical display Dog Agility and Obedience display Local Schools Stalls & Events Bars & catering Children's Activities and Entertainment & Historic & current military vehicles & activities for all ages equipment Extreme adventure spider mountain & high Community organisations showcase display ropes As part of the event I have been asked to co-ordinate groups and organisations who would like to showcase their organisations activities and events on the day. An exciting day of activities will take place, open to everyone and it is hoped that local residents come out in force to celebrate.
