PRESS RELEASE Tasting of dishes, wines and spirits this year at Špilberk Food Festival to be accompanied by the Royal feast Brno, Czech Republic, 25th May 2015 Menu as if for the King, that is what you could call the fourth year of the Špilberk Food Festival, which will take place at the Špilberk Castle in the days from 5th to 7th June. Restaurant KOISHI will prepare an exquisite five-course menu with a selection of wines that is tailored for the festival and for the Royal Chapel. The participants of the festival can also expect the workshop on alternative methods of brewing coffee or competition in the opening of oysters. Prominent personalities of the gastronomic world will show their art on the stage. Federico Delmonte, a Michelin chef from Italy, and Guillaume Delaunay from France will be the special guests. The chefs from as many as thirteen South Moravian restaurants have prepared a special menu for the visitors of the Špilberk Food Festival. "KOISHI restaurant has prepared exclusive menu accompanied by selected wines. This feast for registered guests will host winemakers and also the owners of KOISHI restaurant, who will enrich the event with their interesting stories. All this in the unique atmosphere of the stylish Royal Chapel,"describes the organizer Marie Šotkovská. Registration to this Royal menu is possible until 31 May, directly in the KOISHI restaurant in Brno. The festival tickets are available in selected restaurants and on the venue during the festival days. Another specialty is a ticket to a guided wine degustation held by the wine bar PETIT CRU, which is going to take place in Babinský bistro where five SouthMoravian wineries will introduce their wines. You can also wine yourself in the castle, where VOC Znojmo is going to lead guided degustation of their wines. These will be accompanied by a tour through the kasemat. However, every restaurant will offer carefully selected wines with their menus. The Friday ticket price for 1750CZK covers wining and dining worth 750CZK, free entry to degustation, welcome drink and the evening party with DJ and electroswing from SONO Centre. The Saturday and Sunday tickets for 500CZK each, cover 250CZK worth of food and drink consumption. Molecular mixology, oyster shucking, and the Fire Bartending Špilberk Food Festival is not only about eating delicious meals, tasty drinks and selected delicacies. The accompanying programme of this year's Špilberk Food Festival is very rich; Jakub Jurka, who concentrates on the future of cooking, will present molecular mixology. The visitors can look forward to a world champion in mixing non-alcoholic beverages Achim Šipl, pastry chef Adéla Hostášková, or the bartender with a fire show Martin Vogeltanz. Dalibor Navrátil, one of the top chefs in the Czech Republic will lead the visitors through the programme of the festival. Furthermore, they can test their skills in the oyster shucking contest. All three days will be accompanied with a live music of a jazz trio. About Food Festival Špilberk The first year of the Špilberk Food Festival took place in 2012 and has enjoyed a rising popularity of the guests ever since. It aims at food lovers who appreciate delicate dishes, as well as those who want to taste the specialties of the restaurants they do not usually visit. "Špilberk Food Festival is not just about food, it's about the passion of cooking and about the art of gastronomy," describes the event organizer Kateřina Bílková. The consumption of food and wine during the festival is paid for with the currency of the festival, florens (1 F = 25 CZK). When you purchase tickets, you get a certain amount of them automatically. Florens can be also purchased in the exchange places directly at the venue of the event.
