Elementary Art – Hosting a School wide Art Show (3 hours)
This workshop will show you the steps that I went through using a company called Kids Art Fairs to host our annual Art Night at
Anderson (at no charge to our school!). I will give you the low down on art lessons, organization, volunteers, and how we
actually put the show on instead of a traditional make and take art night. This event can be used as a fund raiser or not - the
choice is yours.

Elementary Art – Collage with Painted Paper (3 hours)
Creating painted paper is fun, cheap, and easy for all students. This workshop will show exactly how my students create all
their painted paper (we use Eric Carle for lots of our inspiration). Then I will give you lesson plans and PowerPoint’s that I use
to help students create fun collages from all the painted paper they make. We will create at least one example lesson t use
when you return to class.

Elementary Art – Glass Fusing (6 hours)
This will be an informative session on the technique of glass fusing. Topics will include: project ideas, types of fusing,
differences of glass, kiln usage, and tools/supplies. Attendees will also be able to have some hands-on experience time during
a make & take [firing will take place at a later date and pieces will be returned]. All necessary supplies will be provided so that
you can create your own piece of glass.

Learn how to integrate technology into your daily art lessons. New and different project ideas will be introduced and
demonstrated along with the apps. that can be used with either an iPad or iPhone. Topics will include: photography, drawing,
portraits, and origami. Other new project ideas will also be discussed.

Elementary Art - Clay Projects (3 hours)
Quick and easy slab building techniques for elementary art. We will be making a bowl and a plate using a Chinette form. Tips
for storing projects week to week, finishing clay with different techniques, candling clay in the kiln to speed drying time and
reduce breakage and blowups, and firing the kiln.
All Level Art – Mixed Media Projects ( 6 hours)
We will be working with watercolor techniques, markers, Sharpies, cutting and pasting, collage and all sorts of medium and
exploring different ways to combine materials effectively without breaking the bank. These projects are goof proof and ALL
your students - all levels - will have success.
All Level Art - Cartooning, Etc…( 6 hours)
Have you ever wondered how cartoonists come up with their ideas? Or how they draw those funny caricatures?
Well…wonder no more about where and how. In this class I will reveal secrets from some of the best cartoonists in the
country, as well as some great internet websites used by the professionals. Also, a book on cartooning techniques and
characters by none other than my very own uncle, Rowland B. Wilson, Disney animator and cartoonist. Anime/manga "toons"
will also be addressed and techniques will be explored. Should be VERY informative and fun time for all! Come equipped with
a sketchbook, pencil, and erasure. Colored pencils and markers are optional.

All Level Art - Google/Trimble Sketchup Pro 8 ( 3 hours)
SketchUp Pro 8 is 3D modeling software for professionals. SketchUp is easy and intuitive, allowing anyone to model in 3D
quickly and accurately. It is free to educators, students, and school districts. This will be a great beginning course and
refresher for those that have used SketchUp and want to take advantage of the new features in SketchUp Pro 8. Links for
lesson ideas will be included along with training videos and documents on the W-drive.

Secondary Art - Being Green while Making Art (6 hours)
Would you like to save money on things you already make with your students? What about learn how to use things you are
going to throw away to make quality artwork? In this workshop we will explore various techniques for creating art using
recycled/non-traditional materials. Please BYOT - Bring Your Own Trash. Plastic shopping bags of various sizes and colors,
empty paper towel/toilet paper/wrapping paper tubes, egg cartons, cardboard boxes, yogurt or other plastic containers, etc.
Several hands on opportunities will be available.
Secondary Art - Watercolor Projects Galore (6 hours)
We will be working with many watercolor techniques to create all sorts of 2D and 3D projects for the secondary classroom.
