Advanced Placement US History Summer Assignment

As we examine the course of US History from the early Americans to present, at times it will be easier for you to remember or visualize how the historical pieces fit together if you have a reference point. Sometimes Hollywood gets it correct, well correct-ish, and so your summer assignment is to view movies/miniseries/tv shows on this list. Many of these movies can be found on Netflix, Amazon prime, YouTube, DVD at the library, or even played on tv,; you may have even already seen many of these movies. Many of these movies have a rating of PG-13 or R; many of the WWII films are graphic in the nature of demonstrating war. Please review the list with your parents and verify that they approve of your viewing of these films.
