OPENING: The meeting began approximately 3:10 p.m. Sire Archon Trotman recognized the
accomplishments of today – the inauguration of Pres. Obama; the induction of Pres. Jennings;
and the installation of a new slate of officers. Archons present were: Ballard, Benn, Daniels,
DeBaptiste, Faulcon, Greene, Hammond, Hanson, Hoff, Lemon, Martin, Parson, Payton,
Pepukayi, Robinson, Spencer, Squire, Torian, Trotman, Ware, White. New Archons were
inducted included Benn and Ross. Also in attendance were visiting Archons Robert Archy and
Robert Bogle – both of Alpha Boulé.
INDUCTION: The induction of Robert Jennings.
PROCEEDINGS: Chaired by Sire Archon Trotman.
REPORTS:
Grammatues – Archon Pepukayi

Minutes from October meeting were presented and approved by the body.

Grammatues Report Approved.
Thesauristes – Archon Hanson

Reported the income from the Wine Tasting

Received a check from the Grand Boulé – Lexus program $2,400

2013 budget prepared by Archons Hanson, Hammond and Torian

Archon Hanson personally thanked Archons Hammond and Torian for guidance

Thesauristes report approved by the body.

Chaired by Sire Archon Spencer who thanked all Archons for their vote
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Social Action – Archon White updated all Archons on matters related to Social Action. This
includes reporting that Beta Eta’s Social Action survey has been completed and submitted to the
Regional Chair of Social Action. Archon White’s report was accepted by the body.
Fundraising – Archon Squire reported 78 tickets sold for the Wine Tasting. Although the
committee set a fundraising goal of $1,500 for the event, the event actually raised $2,900.
Entertainment – Archon Greene reported the Christmas party was well attended and enjoyed
by all. A discussion took place concerning the Valentine’s party. Archons expressed a
preference for Saturday February 9th at Mendinghall Inn. Archon Martin agreed to check with
Wilmington Country Club for dates to have Beta Eta’s 2013 Christmas party. Archons
expressed a preference for December 7th or 14th.
NEW BUSINESS: Archon Faulcon informed the body of the annual MLK and Black history
tribute that occurred January 18th at the Music School of Wilmington where he and his Archousa
performed. Another part of the event was the play “the Meeting” - an imaginary conversation
with Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X.
