SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Archon Charles Norris earned a MBA from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. Additional training includes a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business
Management, a Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, Global Leadership Certificate from American International School of
Management at Thunderbird, Distributed Technologies Certificate from Technical Resources Center, and a Competent Toastmasters Certificate from Toastmasters
International. Also, he has been theologically trained at Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Chicago Baptist Institute, Fuller Theological Seminary, and has been ordained
an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
Professionally, Archon Norris has been employed in various technical and management roles for over 30 years. His roles have included, System’s Programmer, Account Manager, Quality
Manager, and Program Manager. Motorola relocated him to Arizona in July of 1994. In an effort to improve the quality of life for his family and spend more time with them, Archon Norris left
the corporate ranks to pursue a career with non profit organizations in 2004. Archon Norris was the owner of Chuck Norris and Associates, LLC. His company focused on helping small and
medium sized non-profits to build their fundraising infrastructure. Prior to becoming a small business owner, he was the Director of Development and External Affairs at All Saints’ Episcopal
Day School. Additionally, he has served as the President of the Arizona Episcopal Schools Foundation. An
accomplished fundraiser, Rev. Norris now strives to make his ministry his business.
Always active in community affairs, his work has earned him many awards. He was awarded Motorola’s CEO Award for Volunteerism. He was Black Data Processing Associates’ Member of
the Year. In addition to his many roles, Archon Norris served as Public Policy Director for the Phoenix Black Chamber of Commerce, and member of the Governor’s Advisory Council under
Arizona Governor’s Janet Napolitano and Jan Brewer.
As a member and Associate Pastor of Tanner Chapel AME Church, he served in the Male Chorus, Church School Teacher, Sons of Allen, Member of the Lay Organization, Men of Tanner
Ministry, supply Minister to Harbert Chapel AME in Flagstaff, Arizona, and South Minster Presbyterian Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Also, Archon Norris was instrumental in leading Tanner
Community Development Corporation in its creation of an Early Childhood Development(ECD) program. The emphasis of Tanner’s ECD program is to train parents how to be the first teachers
of their children. In doing so, children will be better prepared to start Kindergarten programs.
In December 2010, Archon Norris was appointed Pastor of Prince Chapel by the Sea AME church in La Jolla, California. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the church is continuing to grow
spiritually, numerically, and financially.
Archon Norris and his wife Tracy are the proud parents of four children. They are active members in Jack and Jill of America. His wife, Tracy, is a retired Physician Assistant and a member of
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. A willing servant and devoted family man, his favorite scripture is Isaiah 61:1-3. His constant prayer is for God to set free those who are bound and held captive to
things that hinder the realization of their God given talents.
Archon James K. McKnight is a Spirit filled, faith filled, loving and caring shepherd. He is both “called and focused." He is called to preach and
teach the Word of God and he is focused upon saving souls and developing men and women to become fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.
During the time that he has served as pastor of Congregational Church of Christian Fellowship in Los Angeles he continues to grow the church.
Under Archon McKnight’s leadership, several ministries are making an impact. As a church they are tackling tough issues including
homelessness, poverty and hunger. Children have received backpacks and school supplies. Families in need have received food baskets and
grocery store vouchers and worthy students each year receive generous scholarships. The church is home to a successful Head Start program
where a diverse group of children are taught, nurtured and given nutritious meals. The church is also home to 2 nd Call, a wonderful community
outreach that teaches job readiness skills to those who are interested in positively transitioning their lives.
Archon McKnight loves preaching and teaching the rich truths of God’s Word. His sermons, teachings and workshops have been labeled
"creative, energetic, inspiring, relevant and thought-provoking." They ignite enthusiasm, hope and change.
He is a Los Angeles native, the son of Helen Saunders McKnight and the late James W. McKnight. Archon McKnight earned a B.A. in
Economics from Pitzer College. After graduation, he worked as a financial analyst and a sales and training professional. After receiving the call
to the Gospel ministry, he received invaluable training from his former pastors: Bishop T. Larry Kirkland, Rev. Madison T. Shockley, Dr.
William Thurmond and Pastor Toure’ Roberts. He is currently completing the requirements for the Master of Theology degree at Fuller
Theological Seminary.
Archon McKnight is balancing his roles as husband, father, pastor, teacher, student, consultant and friend and is married to the former Denise
Mozee. He and his Archousa are the proud parents of two blessed daughters, Jade Erin and Rachel Ryan both of whom are college students.

BLESSED ASSURANCE
by Phoebe P. Knapp
Verse 1
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O What a fore taste of glory divine!
heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit washed in His blood
Chorus
This is my story, this is my song.
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
Verse 2
Perfect submissions perfect delight!
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending bring from above,
Echos of mercy whispers above.
Chorus
This is my story, this is my song.
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;
Verse 3
Perfect submission all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with his goodness, lost in His love.
Chorus
This is my story, this is my song.
Praising my Savior all the day long;
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long;

“LIFT EVERY VOICE AND SING”
Verse 1
Lift every voice and sing, till earth and heaven ring,
Ring with the harmonies of liberty;
Let our rejoicing rise High as the listing skies
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea
Chorus 1
Sing a song full of the Faith that the dark past has taught us.
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;
Facing the rising sun Of our new day begun,
Let us march on till Victory is won.
Verse 2
God of our wary years, God of our silent tears.
Thou who hast brought us thus far on the way;
Thou who hast by Thy might, Led us into the light,
Keep us for ever in the path, we pray.
Chorus 2
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee,
Lest our hearts, drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee;
Shadowed beneath Thy hand, May we for ever stand,
True to our God, true to our native land.
Repeat
Chorus 1
Sing a song full of the Faith that the dark past has taught us.
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;
Facing the rising sun Of our new day begun,
Let us march on till Victory is won.
