JUNE 11, 2015: INTRODUCTION TO THE ACUTE INFECTIOUS DISEASE PLAN
With Ebola in our not-too-distant past and a measles outbreak on our doorstep, the threat of an
acute infectious disease impacting our healthcare facilities is all too real. The Northwest
Healthcare Response Network has developed an Acute Infectious Disease Plan, designed to
support healthcare facilities and providers in providing care to highly infectious patients while
safeguarding the healthcare workforce, emergency responders and the public. This CAP session
will introduce the Acute Infectious Disease Plan and how it can be implemented in different
healthcare, public health and emergency response settings. The intended audience includes
anyone working in healthcare, public health or emergency response who might encounter an
acutely infectious patient, or provide training and support for those impacted by this plan.Visit
