Terms and Conditions of Exhibiting at the Milton Art Gallery
1. All Artwork should be labelled individually with the artists name and title of work.
2. 2 D work should be framed to a standard suitable for selling and fitted with D rings
and chord. We will, however, accept unframed work on a thick box canvas.
3. All work remains the property of the artist until sold where ownership is transferred
to the buyer .On sale of work we deduct our commission (inclusive of V.A.T. at the
current rate) from the wall selling price and pay you the balance which we refer to as
the artist’s price. Please bring the artist price when you deliver work and we will
calculate the selling price rounding up or down as necessary. For help with pricing

4. We pay for work sold at the end of each month by BACS transfer and send you a
receipt with details. Please ensure the gallery have the following details, name of
bank, name of account, branch address, sort code and account number.
5. We advertise regularly in Artnews, Artmag, The Leopard and several other
publications. We also promote exhibitions on facebook so please LIKE our page and
share postings to spread the word. Please forward us customers you wish to add to
our mailing list, with their prior permission.
6. If you have an artist CV please forward this to us, if you need help to write this
please refer to our guidelines on the Exhibition page of our website.
7. Whilst every effort is made to display your work we may occasionally have to store
items in our stockroom e.g. if we have an excess of submissions for any exhibition or
a specific themed exhibition for which the gallery needs cleared. This will always be a
temporary measure and an unavoidable aspect of gallery curation.
8. Please provide good quality images of work you have with us taken before framing
and a min. of 800x600pixels or 20cm by 20cm (we can scale images down if nec.)
Please note the max. file size our server can accommodate is 10MG.Copyright for all
images remains with the artist but the gallery will assume any images received come
with permission to reproduce if required for advertising purposes.
9. Dates for receiving and collection of work are on our website.
10. Your work is insured by us only whist it is in the gallery but not during transit nor for
minor damage to frames due to acceptable wear and tear. The gallery is protected
by security cameras, an alarm system and security procedures. In the event of a theft
you will be paid the artist price only.
11.
We respectfully request you collect unsold work when requested, failure to
do so will result in the work being donated to charity.
