Guidelines and Helpful Hints
Please place your garbage, compost and recycling out at the curb by 6:00am the day of
your scheduled pickup. While we try to be consistent in our pickup times, we
occasionally have to adjust routes based on things such as weather, road construction,
sub-sales, breakdowns, etc… Having your garbage out by 6:00am is the best way to
ensure pickup.
Set recycling out so that it is visible to the route driver. Recycling that cannot be seen
because it behind compost bags or garbage containers cannot be picked up. We cannot
come back for recycling that was not clearly visible to the driver.
Make sure compost cans are clearly marked and visible. Much the same as recycling,
the compost driver has to be able to see your compost to pick it up.
For more help please visit our Prohibited Items page.
We observe six holidays a year and are closed if they fall on a weekday. They are
Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. If
your scheduled pick-up falls on or after one of these holidays, your pick-up will be one
day later than normal for that particular week. An example would be if Christmas were
to fall on a Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday pick-ups would be on normal schedules,
but Wednesday, Thursday and Friday pick-ups would be one day late.
