Notes:
*Respect Life collecting baby items for their
upcoming baby shower for the Morningstar
Women’s Center. They are also collecting
Pennies for Pampers and asking students to
bring in a penny for each year of their family
members lives.
Math –
Chapter 6 Understand Division
Students will learn the relationship between
multiplication and division to help solve the
equation. Students will apply the strategies
learned to solve division problems.
Rocket Math – Students will continue with
Multiplication in Rocket Math. Help your child
to review their basic multiplication facts. They
should be able to complete 40 problems in one
minute and 80 problems in two minutes. Please
continue to review with your child their basic
addition and subtraction facts.

Test This Week:
Spelling – Friday January 22
Reading –
This week students will review for their Unit 3
test. Help your child to review the skills we
have learned throughout the unit. We will
review making inferences, sequencing events,
summarizing, character, setting, and plot. We
will review text features in nonfiction stories.
Spelling Words –
Review words –
Prejudge, orchard, perch, misfile, uncertain,
misnumber, unwanted, carve, recycle, soybean,
wristwatch, noisy, checkpoint, childhood, purr,
preplan, classroom, serve, wore, artist
Grammar –
Students will review combining sentences with
the same verb. Students will review past
tense, present tense, and future tense verbs.

Religion – Chapter 10
Students will learn about the leaders in
the Church and the various roles they
play. Students will learn more about Popes
Frances.
