Making good choices!
Students will have a homework binder that they will be
responsible for taking home each day. It will contain their
homework planner, “Star Homework” organizer and folder.
This homework program incorporates a differentiated approach
with an understanding that homework should be meaningful
and worthwhile. The time that your third grader spends on
homework each day should enrich his or her learning, and help
build a love of learning. Homework each night is not meant to
exceed 30 minutes, including reading.

In our classroom, we will be designating one area as our “Makerspace.” This
part of the room will be where third graders will be able to tinker, create, build,
and explore. Not sure that’s time well spent? Take a look at this list of benefits
of Makerspaces…
