Below are the teams that will exhibit their business concepts at the Trade Show on Friday, April
25. Teams are not listed in any particular order.
iNov8v Health Technologies, LLC
Product (or Service) Description:
iNOv8v Health Technologies patent pending physiological assessment and biofeedback fitness
system provides API interface software to control and adjust cardiovascular fitness equipment
based on physiological biofeedback. Our non-invasive, electrode-free and strap-free system
continuously captures physiological measures (e.g., heart rate, respiration rate, lactate
threshold) with the use of a webcam, smartphone- or tablet camera. The system
simultaneously analyzes the physiological measures and provides biofeedback to control the
workload of the fitness equipment to meet the individual end-user’s personal health and fitness
goals.
WEPSY
Product (or Service) Description:
WEPSY will track in "real-time" the location of individuals through a web page, mobile app
and/or text message. Our business model consists of a creative delivery of the tracking
hardware device utilizing off-the-shelf clothing items, such as shoes and belts. Our offering
gives customers the option to buy from our website www.findWEPSY.com, everyday clothing
and name brands customized to discreetly carry the tracking device. Additionally, the tracking
device will be transferable between different clothing items, lowering the cost of ownership.
FreezerGuard
Product Description:
The FreezerGuard features a wireless temperature sensor which checks if the temperature in
an appliance such as freezer is in an acceptable range and a power sensor that monitors the
power to the appliance. If the temperature goes beyond the acceptable range or the power
goes out, the customer will receive a text and email notifying him or her of the situation. The
customer can then take necessary action to rectify the situation.
Smart Water Irrigation, LLC
Service Description:
The Lawn General is a self-regulating soil saturation monitoring system that collects and
interprets real time data from the lawn to determine when a zone has been optimally watered.
It combines our innovative software with two products readily available: soil saturation
monitors and open source hardware. Multiple sensors placed throughout the yard give a much
more complete picture of the irrigation needs of the entire yard. It acts on data collected
during the watering cycle, advancing zones, not just deciding yes/no to run the system prior to
running.
HomeTies
Service Description:
HomeTies will deliver monthly care packages to people studying, working, or living abroad.
HomeTies’s main goal is to help make people who are abroad feel at home in an unfamiliar
place. Regardless of whether they are abroad for study, work, or pleasure, we can help them
immerse themselves in a new culture while still being able to have the familiar things of home.
We also give them a chance to experience more than one new culture at a time if they want.
Club Artizan
Product (or Service) Description:
Handicrafts will be made from wood, drum metals, paper, plastics, ceramics, horns and fabrics.
We will have a differentiated variety of offerings in the category of home décor, apparel,
accessories, paintings and furniture. The handicrafts will be designed in three different styles:
traditional, contemporary, and contemporary with a traditional touch. We will put an emphasis
on the latter category by creating collaborations with Kansas designers, students and Haitian
artisans to create a product that can be adapted in the U.S markets. We will create an
interactive mobile app.
Senergystic Innovation
Product Description:
Our primary product is the production of sweet crude oil using algae as the renewable and
sustainable source. Our initial strategy is to introduce the concept of algae removal to local
pond owners and governmental agencies. A multi stage filtration system will gather the algae
from ponds and lakes. We take the algae solution and cook it for 30 minutes under pressure to
turn it into oil. We believe that we can win the necessary contracts needed to help finance our
end-game of building bioreactors for a constraint algae supply.
Angel Drive
Service Description:
Angel Drive provides cutting-edge mobile technologies to improve driving safety. Our Fatigue
Alert app detects and alerts drowsy drivers non-intrusively by monitoring visual indicators of
drowsiness such as head nodding, head rotations, and eye blinks. Fatigue Alert app has been
developed for iPhone, Android and Google Glass. We also offer transportation companies
training services to help their employees drive safely, economically, and ecologically.
Student Connect
Business Description:
Student Connect is a social network for college students to contact their classmates quickly and
easily through their smartphones. Student Connect mirrors current communication methods
employed by the younger generation.
Impulse
Product Description:
The “Space Evader” is comprised of a distance sensor mounted in a license plate frame coupled
with an electronic module that plugs into your vehicles diagnostic port to detect vehicle velocity
and automatically activate the rear hazard lights when a tailgater is present. These two pieces
communicate wirelessly between each other and installation is simple with minimal wiring
required to install the sensor. Ultimately, the original module will be designed to be
upgradeable to allow a multitude of additional aftermarket safety features for any passenger
vehicle.
CardioKite
Product Description:
The CardioKite is a small, disposable, and non-invasive device that would make ECG screenings
easy and cheap. The CardioKite measures the patients ECG trace and uses a traffic color system
of lights for user feedback. Green means no arrhythmia or heart disease; Yellow means proceed
with caution; Red means arrhythmia or heart disease is detected. The CardioKite is an
economical device used in pre-physical assessments that can be used by anyone and could
potentially save thousands of lives from sudden cardiac death
The Jesi Project
Product (or Service) Description:
We provide a sphere of dance “fitness solutions” online, that can be assessed from anywhere at
any time via mobile devices and computers. A hub for those seeking dance science based
fitness and performance training that they can do at home, on tour or before class.

Pocket Closet
Product (or Service) Description:
Shoppers will be able to scan the barcodes of products (clothes, shoes, accessories) and Pocket
Closet will automatically retrieve similar or same items in the same price range within proximity
to where the user is located. If users decide to purchase an item they can “hang it” to My Closet
where their wardrobe can be organized. Users will be able to share their purchases and outfits
with Facebook and Twitter. Push notifications will allow Pocket Closet to notify users when they
are near stores that have items that complement their current wardrobe or carry items on their
wish list.
Leakfinder Laboratories
Product (or Service) Description:
The Leak Detective is a flexible mat with sections of copper wire in it. When the flow of
electricity is disrupted between two sections of the wire, an alarm sound sand the customer is
alerted of the leak. The product is designed to fit under sinks, behind water heaters, and
behind washers.
MedEZBurn
Product (or Service) Description:
MedEZBurn is a small medical waste incinerator that can be installed in any healthcare facilities
such as a hospital’s laboratory. MedEZBurn helps to facilitate shorter periods between creation
and destruction of biohazardous medical waste. With the rising amount of people enrolled in
healthcare due to Obamacare, the amount of biohazardous materials being produced is
expected to increase. We as a team saw the opportunity to take advantage of current way of
disposing hazardous waste by making something much smaller that could be installed on
multiple floors in a healthcare facility.
WST Precision
Product Description:
WST Precision is developing a measurement and ballistic calculations tool to aid in rifle
shooting. Our product will be offered as an easy to use tool with a durable construction. This is
a product being developed for a largely untapped market. The problem of measuring and
adjusting certain ballistics parameters applies to a wide range of rifle shooters.
InCompass
Service Description:
InCompass is a two sided mobile application on one side, consumers are provided a
continuously updating list of entertainment, specials, and deals. On the other side, these
opportunities are published to the app by promoters such as local business owners, artists,
bands, and those that have a point of interest. It is a win-win for both audiences. Consumers
get to know what's going on and promoters get to directly connect with them. InCompass can
be thought of as an ever evolving, modern, social, and personalized Entertainment/Dining
section of the Sunday newspaper.
The Right Step
Product Description:
The Right Step is a new innovation to increase safety in the use of an ordinary medical walker
by correcting position and form.
Tom’s Tools
Product (or Service) Description:
Tom’s Tools will be a mobile tool retailer that frequents mechanics shops of all types in a tool
truck, selling tools to the technicians that use them to complete their daily tasks. Technicians
will also have the option to order tools directly from our website and mobile app. We will strive
to go the extra mile to find tools that are demanded that we don’t carry, as well as strive to
make sure that warranty work is not an issue.
