human body.
I can differentiate between the four main
tissue types of the human body.
I can identify the functions of the major
human body systems.
I can explain how feedback inhibition can
help the human body maintain
homeostasis.
I can describe the structure and function
of a neuron.
I can compare the function and
structures of the peripheral and central
nervous system.
I can differentiate between sensory and
motor neurons.
I can describe how the central nervous
system receives information from
sensory neurons and how muscles
receive information from the central
nervous system.
I can describe the causes of infectious
diseases and how they spread.
I can explain the process for identify a
microorganism responsible for an
infectious disease (Koch’s postulates)
I can differentiate between the human
body’s nonspecific and specific defenses
