To be eligible for the Doctoral Competition, you must have achieved a first-class average of 3.5 or higher in the last two years of study. The Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) is actively working to increase University of Calgary students’ success in these national level competitions. (FGS also awards Queen Elizabeth II scholarships based on Tri-Council ranks.) Students who forward an NOI to the Graduate Award Office will be invited to attend a workshop on preparing an application with the best chance of success.
