Sustainability Plan
2015
Mission Statement
Missouri Evergreen brings together Missouri Public Libraries to strengthen and promote excellent library
services to our member libraries and Missouri citizens. The Consortium helps realize the potential of
member libraries by resource sharing , cost savings, and member collaboration.
Name and Definition of the Consortium
The Missouri Evergreen Consortium is an independent association of Missouri Public LIbraries. The
consortium is an outgrowth of efforts to improve resource sharing between Missouri’s public libraries.
The members of the consortium have agreed to share resources.
Purpose of the Consortium
The purpose of the Missouri Evergreen Consortium, hereinafter “the Consortium” is to encourage
resource sharing among and between Missouri Public Libraries. The Consortium recognizes that the
combined strength of member libraries creates increased opportunities by providing library services to
Missouri citizens through resource sharing. It strives to meet those needs with courier service, a shared
catalog, and the shared expertise of the member librarians assisted by the State Library.
