BASKETBALL REFEREE
Pay Rate: $10/hr
FLSA Status: Part-time Non-Exempt
Saturday’s games are every hour between 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Referee is assigned to 2-3 games within
the time frame for six week session. Make-up games may occur on weekday nights. The Youth
Basketball Referee is responsible for officiating youth basketball games for the Gallatin Valley YMCA
Fall & Winter Basketball Leagues according to the general rules of the sports as well as any rules
specific to the Gallatin Valley YMCA. Set up basketball courts and hoops to regulations specific to
YMCA rules. Show up to schedule games on time and stay throughout the shift unless prior
arrangements have been made with the Sports & Recreation Director.
DANCE COORDINATOR
Pay Rate: $10/hr
FLSA Status: Part-time Non-Exempt
Monday’s night 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm AND Saturday’s from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm for six week sessions.
Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in dance classes. Develop lesson
plans for lessons including stretching, across the floor technique and new routines. Instructs dance
lessons in the areas of creative movement, jazz, lyrical and/or ballet for youth ages 3-11 years old within
YMCA guidelines. Choreograph multiple dance routines throughout each session.
LIFEGUARD
Pay Rate: $9.00/hr
FLSA Status: Part-time Non-Exempt
Monday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Eagle Mount
Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. Performs
lifeguard duties during swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared lesson
plans accordingly. Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment and
incidents.
SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Pay Rate: $9.00/hr
FLSA Status: Part-time Non-Exempt
Monday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Eagle Mount
Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes.
Instructing swim techniques and skills in lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines, having prepared
lesson plans accordingly. Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; helps them
connect with each other and the YMCA. Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and
as appropriate refers students and parents to other programs. Maintains records as required (i.e.
attendance, progress reports, etc.). Attends staff meetings and trainings as scheduled. Organizes and puts
away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment.
PIR DAY SPORT INSTRUCTOR
Start Date: Academic School Year – Jan 26, April 21 & April 22 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 2-10 hrs/PIR day during academic school year
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides direct supervision of a group of children ages 5-14 in PIR day school
programing. A jam-packed day of sports and games. Providing a quality experience to children and
parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides direct supervision of a group of children aged 5-12 in summer day
camp. Providing a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty,

SUMMER CAMP SITE COORDINATOR

FLSA Status:Non-Exempt 32-40 hrs/week during summer camp operations
Reports to: Camp Director
Pay Scale: $10-11/hour
POSITION SUMMARY: Implements summer camp activities, while supporting the Camp Director in
leading efforts to create an environment for healthy positive child development and strong family
relationships. Provides direct supervision of a group of children aged 5-12 in summer day camp, while
providing a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect,
responsibility, and caring.
SUMMER TEEN CAMP COUNSELOR

Reports to: Camp Director Pay Scale: $9-$11.50/hour
POSITION SUMMARY: Develops and implements Counselor In Training program, while supporting
the Camp Director in leading efforts to create an environment for healthy positive child development
and strong family relationships. Provides direct supervision of a group of 3-6 teens in the Counselor In
Training program, while providing a quality experience to all children, teens and parents focused on
YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring
