SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS – Synopsis Three fairies tell the audience of how the wicked queen came to be wicked: learning that her husband, King A will leave all of his inheritance to his daughter Snow White, the queen - his wife poisons her husband and destroys his will leaving only the queen and snow white in the castle. Snow White is made to work her fingers to the bone for the queen while the queen spends her days pampering herself to make herself look ‘the fairest of them all. Snow White’s days are often light-hearted and uplifting thanks to the castle cat, Cuddles, her nanny, Nanny Nick-Nack and the castle jester, Simon. When the wicked queen asks the magic mirror who the fairest of them all is, the answer puts the wicked queen into a jealous rage. The fairest of them all is indeed Snow White, and she hires a henchman to go and kill Snow White. In the tower Cuddles the cat notices that the queen has dropped the keys to the tower door outside the doorway. He tries to tell Simon the jester and Nanny Nick-Nack but he takes no notice. Finally the henchmen realises what Cuddles is trying to say and the three of them manage to get the keys with the help of the fairies and they free the cat, the nanny, the jester and the henchmen. They decide they must all try and stop the wicked queen and protect Snow White. Meanwhile the queen is looking through spells in which to kill snow white. She decides that a poisoned apple will be just the trick. She disguises herself as a crone and leaves the castle to venture out into the forest. When the dwarfs set off for work the next day Snow White and the animals decide to tidy up the house. Suddenly there is a knock at the door. An old crone is selling apples and Snow White is encouraged to take a bite. She does so and falls to the ground. The queen runs off into the forest. Snow White is sent out into the forest to pick some berries and is followed by the henchman who confronts Snow White. He is stopped in his tracks by the three fairies and ask him to consider his options and look closely at his conscience. He cannot bear himself to kill her, so he tells her to run away and never come back. He kills a pig and brings back it heart. The henchman shows the wicked queen the heart and she is delighted. Nanny NickNack, Cuddles and Simon are devastated and they are put into the castle tower. Meanwhile the animals of the forest help Snow White to safety by showing her the Dwarfs’ cottage. Whilst she loves the cottage she is very tired and decides to have a sleep. When the dwarfs arrive home they are terrified but they soon warm to Snow White’s charm. They decide she can stay. The Wicked Queen wakes up with a terrible hangover after the wake of Snow White but asks the magic mirror who the fairest of them all is. When the mirror tells her it is still snow white and she is alive, she is enraged, locks the henchmen in the tower and sets out to kill her herself. Cuddles, Nanny Nick-Nack, Simon and the henchman find themselves in a creepy part of the forest full of ghosties and ghoulies. They find the dwarfs cottage and see Snow White. The dwarf return home to find Snow White unconscious. Prince Valiant also arrives, notices Snow White and is amazed at her beauty. Cuddles, Simon and Henry the Henchman arrive with the fairies and the fairies tell them all that Snow White will awaken with one kiss from her true love. The queen tries to stop them but the fairies put a spell on her which means she will forever look like a hag. The prince kisses Snow White and she is awake. She is whisked away by the prince. The dwarfs are sad to see her go but pleased she has her happy ending. The pantomime ends with a wedding.
